Analysts at Oppenheimer & Co reiterate their "outperform" rating on Wells Fargo WFC. The target price for WFC is set to $38.
Oppenheimer & Co is positive regarding growth opportunities for WFC due to recovery in the credit quality over the past couple of months. ”We found the presentations a striking showcase of Wells' corporate culture, which seems to disdain big city flashiness and still marches under the old Norwest Midwestern banner of "Out-local the nationals and out-national the locals," despite being one of the largest banks in the nation,” the analysts mention.
The analysts further add, “With constant banter about "the customer" and "team members," one clearly got the impression that these were all the marketing types at their respective B-Schools, but one also got the impression that there was "applied science" on the inside, as one executive said. We left comfortable that this was a tightly run ship.”
