US Stock Futures Up As Investors Await Economic Data

US stock futures are higher, this morning, as investors awaited economic data. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 22 points to 11,006.00, while S&P 500 futures rose 3.50 points to 1,178.20. Nasdaq 100 futures moved up 7 points to 2,097.75. US stocks closed lower yesterday, with the blue-chip Dow index dipping 1.59%. Data on consumer prices and housing market for October are due at 8:30 a.m. ET. Applied Materials AMAT is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.31 per share on revenue of $2.6 billion. Limited Brands Inc LTD is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $0.16 on revenue of $1.95 billion. Target Corp TGT is projected to post its EPS at $0.68 in the third-quarter. NetApp Inc NTAP is forecast to report its Q2 earnings at $0.49 per share on revenue of $1.19 billion. European stocks traded higher, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining about 0.32%. Mostly Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average adding 0.15%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 1.63% and China's Shanghai Composite losing 1.92%.
