Consumer Electronics Show: Tablets, Tablets, and Tablets Oh My! (AAPL, MSFT, QCOM, INTC)

Forbes has a preview of the Consumer Electronics Show, and expects nothing but tablets, after the huge success of Apple's AAPL iPad. Hardware manufacturers like Dell DELL, Hewlett-Packard HPQ, Research in Motion RIMM and Samsung and chip makers such as Intel INTC, Texas Instruments TXN and Qualcomm QCOM are seeking to get their entries into the tablet market. The CES will be held next week, and is likely to feature a number of these products. Caris & Co. analyst Craig Ellis said that he expects at least 69 entries into the tablet market, up from 38 last month. Ellis said he sees shipments next year of 53.6 million tablets, 36.1 million of which are Apple iPads. Ellis was particularly positive on ARM Holdings ARMH, as the company's chips account for about three-quarters of the tablets.
