Thermo Fisher Scientific is scheduled to host Investor Day on May 24 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Benzinga's analyst ratings data finds a consensus Buy rating on TMO. 

Rob Sechan of New Edge Capital Group picked Principal Financial Group, Inc. PFG, saying that it is a "cheap way" to play financials.

Principal Financial is expected to release Q1 financial results after the closing bell on April 27, 2023.

Price Action: Thermo Fisher Scientific shares rose 2% to close at $591.13, while Principal Financial fell 0.4% to settle at $75.07 on Thursday. The SPDR S&P Biotech ETF gained 4.4% to $79.43, while iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF rose 0.5% to $116.89 on Thursday.
