On Tuesday, Qualcomm appointed Akash Palkhiwala to the expanded role of chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C J Muse initiated coverage on Qualcomm with a Neutral rating and announced a price target of $150.
Qualcomm is expected to report financial results for its first quarter fiscal 2024 on Jan. 31, 2024, after the closing bell. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $2.37 per share, compared to $2.37 per share in the year-ago period. The company is likely to report quarterly revenue of $9.51 billion in the recent quarter.

Microsoft is projected to release an earnings report for its second quarter after the closing bell on Jan. 30, 2024. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $2.78 per share, up from $2.32 per share in the year-ago period. The company is likely to report quarterly revenue of $61.10 billion in the recent quarter, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
On Tuesday, Truist Securities analyst Joel Fishbein reiterated Microsoft with a Buy rating and maintained a $600 price target.
Price Action: Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund gained 0.2%, while QUALCOMM shares rose 0.4% to close at $153.50 on Tuesday. Microsoft shares gained 0.6% to settle at $398.90 during Tuesday’s session.
