Uber Technologies, Inc. UBER is Altimeter CEO Brad Gerstner‘s stock pick on the latest edition of CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades.”

Autonomous driving, Gerstner says, is a tailwind, not a headwind for the car service company.

A U.S. appeals court on Monday rejected a bid by Uber and its subsidiary Postmates to revive a challenge to a California law that could force the companies to treat drivers as employees rather than independent contractors.

Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners picked Meta Platforms, Inc. META, saying he will go with the leader in AI right now.

The U.S. Supreme Court will reportedly consider spiking a multibillion-dollar lawsuit against Meta Platforms that accuses the Mark Zuckerberg-led company of duping investors on the data-harvesting scandal involving British political consultancy Cambridge Analytica.
