Bumble Inc. BMBL shares are trading higher Monday after the company announced Michael Affronti as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO).

What To Know: Affronti has held leadership roles at Salesforce, Dataminr and Microsoft. At Salesforce, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Commerce Cloud, managing a global e-commerce business and focusing on AI, machine learning and platform scalability.

As CPO, Affronti will oversee product innovation, user experience and lead the Product, Safety, Research and Customer Care teams. His appointment fills a vacancy left by former CPO Ali Rayl, who departed last year.

Bumble CEO Lidiane Jones cited Affronti's success in product innovation and platform scaling as key factors in his appointment, highlighting the company's plans for bold product innovations in 2025.

“With an exceptional track record of driving innovation, delivering product vision and scaling platforms, Michael is uniquely positioned to lead our product team in building on the early steps we have taken to re-imagine the Bumble experience,” said Jones.

BMBL Price Action: Bumble shares were up 2.78% at $8.32 at the time of writing, according to Benzinga Pro.
