Accenture's New Research Predicts How AI Will Reshape Business By 2025: Details

Accenture plc ACN shares remained relatively flat in premarket trading on Tuesday. The company released new findings from its Accenture Technology Vision 2025 report.

The research highlights a new era of AI-driven digitization, in which artificial intelligence continuously learns and drives greater autonomy across organizations.

According to the report, trust in AI’s performance has emerged as the most important factor in unlocking its potential.

The 25th edition of the report reveals how AI will evolve into a technology development partner, personal brand ambassador, and power physical robotic systems, creating a new symbiotic relationship with people.

As AI adoption accelerates across enterprises, 69% of executives agree that it brings an urgent need to redesign technology systems and processes.

However, 77% of executives emphasize that AI’s true benefits will only be realized when it is built on a foundation of trust, ensuring systems are accurate, consistent, and traceable.

Accenture’s research predicts that generative AI will lead to significant shifts in technology development and customer experience. AI coding assistants are already transforming software development by elevating developers to systems engineers.

As AI evolves, organizations will move from static applications to intention-based frameworks powered by AI agents, optimizing operations from inventory management to travel, the company said.

In the physical world, general-purpose robots are becoming more autonomous, per Accenture.

KION Group, in collaboration with Accenture and NVIDIA Corporation, is using AI-driven robots to enhance warehouse operations, improving speed, safety, and cost efficiency.

Additionally, as AI becomes a new customer touchpoint, brands are focusing on creating unique, personified AI experiences to differentiate themselves.

The report also emphasizes the growing relationship between people and AI. As people use AI, it improves, creating a virtuous loop that benefits both individuals and organizations.

Accenture’s Generative AI Scholars Program with Stanford Online aims to equip clients with essential AI knowledge to foster positive perceptions and greater adoption across businesses.

The Accenture Technology Vision 2025 findings will be showcased at CES 2025 on January 7, the company said.
