D-Wave Quantum Inc. QBTS saw slight gains in premarket trading on Tuesday after announcing an application with Staque, an AI, blockchain, and quantum computing consultancy.
The two companies have developed a hybrid-quantum application designed to optimize the movements of autonomous agricultural vehicles on a large scale.

D-Wave CEO Alan Baratz expressed confidence that quantum computing would play a crucial role in optimizing agriculture in the future.
“As farmers increasingly adopt autonomous agriculture machines to scale and increase the output of their fields, we believe quantum computing can provide the analysis, speed, and accuracy necessary to maximize production and minimize costs,” Baratz said.
