Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner refused to sign a statement asserting that Donald Trump was not antisemitic in the wake of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, according to Michael Wolff‘s latest book, All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America.

Wolff writes that despite Trump’s increasing attempts to garner support for Israel following the deadly attacks, he turned to his daughter and son-in-law for public backing, The Guardian reports.

However, both Ivanka, a convert to Judaism, and her husband declined to offer formal support or sign the statement.

The refusal to offer public support highlights the tensions within the Trump family, particularly in light of his actions following the attacks.

The couple, both senior advisors during Trump’s first term, distanced themselves further from the then-former president after the January 6 Capitol riots, The Guardian adds.

They have also chosen not to take any roles in Trump’s second term, which began after the 2024 election.

Wolff’s book offers a detailed portrait of Trump’s political battles, including his controversial tariff decisions, plans for territorial expansion, and clashes with key allies, like Elon Musk.

Musk, a major Trump campaign backer, reportedly generated confusion within Trump’s team, with Wolff capturing Trump’s bewilderment at Musk’s actions during a rally.

All or Nothing, set to be released this week, also reveals personal and professional tensions among Trump’s inner circle, offering a candid and often critical look at the President’s second campaign for the White House.
