NYSE Euronext Falls; Attracts Put Buying

Shares of NYSE Euronext NYX are falling today by 3.06%, currently at $27.84. The stock is now trading right at the 200-day moving average with the stock struggling to hold the level. Options volume is favoring the put side during the morning trade with the June $29 put purchased nearly 3,900 times on open interest of 4,488 contracts. These were purchased for $2.35. It appears that traders are seeking protection from more bad news from Europe as well as from financial regulation.
