Tyson Foods Volatile After Q4 Beat

Tyson Foods, Inc. TSN shares are trading lower by $1.00 at $64.39 in Monday's session. The issue has been all over the map after posting a Q1 EPS beat of $0.33 along with a $113 million revenue beat.

After a much higher open, it continued in that direction before peaking at $67.17 and sharply reversed course. That level is just shy of its November 18 close ($67.36), which represents its closing price before it cascaded nearly $10, falling to $57.60, after a much worse-than-expected Q4 report.

Within 13 minutes of making that high, it finally found a bottom at $63.22 and mounted a rebound that so far has stalled at $65.10.

If the decline continues through the current low, there may be additional support at the trio of lows at the $62.00 area from January 30 and 31 as well as February 1.
