Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. AMD shares are trading lower by $0.55 (3.2 percent) at $14.41 in Thursday's session. Traders are attributing the decline to a poor review of their Ryzen 7 chip by PC Gamer.
The stock, which reached nearly a 10-year high on Tuesday ($15.55), is now trading in the mid-$14 handle. The day before it peaked, AMD closed at its highest price over that same time period when it ended Monday's session at $15.20.
After a lower open, it couldn't reclaim Wednesday's closing price of $14.96, only reaching $14.78 before resuming its move lower. The ensuing decline has taken the issue to $14.02, which coincides with the series of three lows at the $14.00 area from February 22-24.
