Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI shares are trading about $3.00 above Monday's closing price of $75.58 at $78.58 in the after-hours session.
The catalyst for the rally is a Q4 beat of $0.04 along with a slight revenue beat. The company raised its FY 2017 guidance to the $3.95-$4.00 range.
After the report, its share price raced higher before finally finding sellers at the whole number of $80.00. That high is just above its all-time high that was made in December at $79.43. Since reaching that elevated level, it had a retreat to $77.45, but is now trying to remain in the $78.00 handle.
In order to post a new all-time closing high on Tuesday, Darden's stock will need to end the session above its December 9 closing price of $78.60.
