Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) shares are trading higher by $4.00 (8.7 percent) at $50.33 in Thursday's session. After Wednesday's close, the company announced a Q4 EPS beat of 9 cents along with a sales beat of $440 million.
After a much higher open, way above its former all-time high of $46.54 made on Wednesday, it rallied another 25 cents before reversing course. Profit-takers easily pushed the issue through the remainder of the $51.00 handle, but found some buyers in the lower $50 handle as $50.19 stands as the high for the session.
The top of Wednesday's range doesn't come in until $46.54. It has exceeded Wednesday's nearly double average of 30.7 million shares as 37.2 million shares have already changed hands with just under four hours remaining in the session.
