Wind Beneath My Wings: Google Putting Money Into GE Wind Farm (GE, GOOG)

As the race for energy continues to heat up, Google GOOG is investing millions into the world's largest wind farm, along with a couple of Japanese firms. Google, and subsidiaries of Itochu Corp. and Sumitomo Corp. have invested $500 million in the world's largest wind farm. General Electric Co. GE and Caithness Energy co-run the farm, which is near Arlington, Oregon. Once the farm is complete, it is expected to produce 845 megawatts of electricity.
