REITs Showing Strength (IYR, GGP, SPG, VNO)

Real estate investment trusts are strong today, along with an overall higher equities market, and could be worth a short term look here, as it looks like REITs are breaking out here. Names like General Growth Properties GGP, Vornado Realty VNO, Simon Property SPG and iShares Dow Jones US Real Estate ETF IYR are all higher, by 1% or more. Shares of iShares Dow Jones US Real Estate ETF are up 62 cents to $60.13, shares of GGP are up 20 cents to $15.58, SPG is up $1.07 to $109.44, and VNO is up 92 cents to $91.42, a gain of 1%.
