Ford Idling Plants On Shortage (F)

According to the Wall Street Journal earlier today, Ford Motor Co. F said that it would be idling several plants in an effort to conserve auto parts, primarily due to the Japanese earthquake. The company had earlier said that it would not be idling any plants because of what happened in Japan. At last check, shares of Ford were up 9 cents to $15.52, a gain of 0.6% on nearly 44 million shares today.
