Two helicopters were flown into the compound, one of which crash landed due to mechanical failure. Reports of the daring assault indicate that the SEALS requested that Bin Laden surrender after recognizing him and that he chose to resist. At this point, the terrorist mastermind was shot twice in the head. His body was then loaded onto the assault helicopter and taken back to Afghanistan. According to the U.S. government, Bin Laden has been buried at sea and DNA testing is taking place right now. The preliminary identification was done using facial recognition technology.
