On May 10, 1794, French Princess Elizabeth, the sister of King Louis XVI, was beheaded. It wasn't, it's probably fair to say, the best day she ever had. A royalist (her being a Princess and all), she viewed the French revolution as the incarnation of evil on Earth and, after bringing in foreign armies in an attempt to crush the revolution, she was executed by guillotine. If she was here today, she'd probably have an interest in these stocks.
Red Hat RHT
Actually, a hat of any color might be the last thing she needs, but the pun was there and we had to use it. Maybe she could use the software solutions to set up some sort of royalist network.
France Telecom FTE
The Princess will probably want to call home, to find out which of her ancestors are around. What better method than the phone service named after her homeland?
Royal Dutch Shell RDS
She was very proud of her royal heritage, was the Princess. While notably charitable, she liked it to be known that she wasn't one of the common folk. So when she buys fuel, she'd undoubtedly want that to be royal too.
Headwaters HW
Yep, that's another head joke. Elizabeth would be head over heels with joy to hear this gag, though she probably cares little for the construction materials that this company supplies.
China Gerui Advanced Materials Group CHOP
Elizabeth would be sure to avoid any company with CHOP as the ticker like the plague, something else that she probably had to deal with back in the day.
