Mylan Launches Generic Version of Depakote Sprinkle Capsules

Mylan Inc. MYL today announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched Divalproex Sodium Capsules USP, 125 mg, the generic version of Abbott's Depakote® Sprinkle Capsules, a treatment for certain types of seizures. Divalproex Sodium Capsules had U.S. sales of approximately $89 million for the 12 months ending March 31, 2011, according to IMS Health.
