The "Hangover 2" TWX did massive numbers over the weekend, pulling in nearly $90 million during the Friday to Sunday period.
The comedy sequel to 2009's surprise hit scored $86 million, as Bradley Cooper, Zack Galifianakis, Ed Helms and the rest travel to Thailand for another series of events.
Since the movie came out on Thursday, "Hangover 2" has earned $117 million, which is just behind “The Matrix Reloaded” in terms of Rated-R opening weekends.
Making up the rest of the top five were “Kung Fu Panda 2” with $47.8 million, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” with $39.5 million, “Bridesmaids” with $16.5 million, and “Thor” with $9.4 million.
"Hangover 2" was distributed by Warner Bros., a subsidiary of Time Warner TWX.
At last check, shares of Time Warner were up 10 cents to $36.22.
