Teva Announces Launch of Generic Aricept® Tablets in the United States

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. TEVA announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted approval for the Company's Abbreviated New Drug Application to market a generic version of Eisai's Alzheimer's treatment Aricept Tablets, 5 mg and 10 mg. Shipment of this product has commenced. Annual sales of the product, including brand and generic sales, were approximately $2.3 billion in the United States, based on IMS sales data.
