Prudential Buying Back 5% Of Market Cap

Prudential Financial PRU shares are up less than 1% in after-hours trading after the company announced it would be buying back $1.5 billion worth of stock. The buyback is equal to 5.2% of its market cap, and this is the first buyback the company has had since October 2008. At last check, shares were trading at $60.00 in after-hours trading. Prudential Financial, Inc., through its subsidiaries, offers various financial products and services in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
