M&F Worldwide Corporation MFW climbed 44.99% to $24.59 at 9:45 am. MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings proposed a merger to buy all M & F Worldwide shares not owned by it for $24 per share. Timberland Co TBL shares jumped 42.45% to $42.72. VF Corporation VFC announced its plans to buy Timberland for $43 per share. Gerber Scientific Inc GRB shares surged 33.93% to $10.88. GRB agreed to sell itself to private equity firm Vector Capital Corp for around $281.8 million. EMS Technologies Inc ELMG jumped 32.26% to $32.80.
