By 10:45 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 90.75 points, or 0.75%, to 11,985.36, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 9.52 points, or 0.74%. The NASDAQ composite index fell 15.91 points, or 0.59%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are still afloat in the markets are Rare Earth Stocks, which have gained 5.8%, Fuel Cell Stocks, up 3.5%, and Gaming and Slot-Machine Stocks, moving 1.1% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Rare Earth complex, Rare Element Resources Ltd REE had surged 13.3%. REE shares have jumped 310.83% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 15.48% in the same period.
The best performing Tickerspy Fuel Cell stock has been Ener1 Inc HEV, which was up 8.6%. HEV shares have dropped 62.57% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 15.48% in the same period.
Bally Technologies Inc BYI is today's leading Tickerspy's Gaming and Slot-Machine stock, gaining 4.3%. BYI's PEG ratio is 0.78.
