Microsoft Soaring Today

When was the last time Microsoft Corporation MSFT moved 4% in a day? It does seem like forever, but today we're seeing Mr. Softy move more than 4% on heavy volume, more than 52 million shares. As such, the Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 are near session highs. Microsoft is a component of all three, and if Microsoft can make moves like this, then the indexes are going to follow in kind, especially the NASDAQ, where it has a larger weighting since the NASDAQ cut the weight of Apple AAPL and upped the weighting of NASDAQ.
