Quiet Advance Favors Techs

1. Stocks pared Greek-fueled gains as volume drained in late trade, leaving indexes high and dry. The Nasdaq wafted 1.3% higher, although Microsoft (MSFT) surged 4% in strong action. The S&P 500 rose 0.9% and the NYSE 0.7%. Commodities drifted generally lower. Bonds slid following the first of $99 bil of Treasury auctions this week.
