New 52-Week High Stocks (GOOG,TNE,PALM,NKTR,GPS)

Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) crossed its earlier 52-week high of $498.90 and touched a new 52-week high at $501.49 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $500.94, up 0.79% on 931K shares.

Tele Norte Leste Participacoes SA (ADR) (NYSE: TNE) soared 2.84% to $19.20 on total volume of 1.35 shares. Today it made a new 52-week high of $22.00 on no news.

Palm, Inc. (NASDAQ: PALM) was another which made a new 52 week high of $17.16 and now trades at $16.92, increased 6% helped by market talk that Nokia's (NOK1V.HE) is interested in the smaller U.S. cellphone maker, traders say.

Nektar Therapeutics (NASDAQ: NKTR) made a new 52-week high at $10.64 and Currently trading higher 7.21% at $10.26 on unusual volume of 1.62 million shares on the news that the developer had struck a $1.5 billion licensing deal for two of its development programs with AstraZeneca. This morning its shares rose 11 percent after investigators said a small, early-stage trial of a new ovarian cancer drug produced promising results.

The Gap Inc. (NYSE: GPS) today broken its previous 52-week high and made a new high at $22.56 and now up 1.67% and trades at $22.51 with a total volume of 2.08 million shares. In the last 5 trading session the stock has jumped up over 4%.
