Pictage, Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas Team Up to Host Free Photography Education Day for Local Children on Saturday, March 6 At Lied Memorial Boys & Girls Club and Springs Preserve

WHAT:

Pictage, Inc. is collaborating with world-renowned professional photographers, and representatives from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas (BGCLV), to host a free photography education day on Saturday, March 6, 2010, for area children interested in exploring the magic and artistry of photography. The half-day event, called “Lens & Learn: Inspiring Kids with Photography” and scheduled from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. PST at the Lied Memorial Boys & Girls Club, will provide nearly 100 boys and girls with detailed classroom instruction concerning photography basics, followed by hands-on, in-the-field training and a photo scavenger hunt at various locations throughout the Springs Preserve. Pictage and its members will provide all photography talent, classroom instruction, equipment, services, and technical support required to conduct the training, while BGCLV is furnishing the facilities, catering, transportation, and participating children. Canon U.S.A. has generously loaned digital SLR cameras for the day’s events.
