Columbia Care Inc. CCHW CCHWF announced the soft opening of its new dispensary in Villa Park, Illinois.
This is the second adult-use cannabis dispensary the company opted to launch in the Chicagoland area.
According to a Monday’s update, the grand opening is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2.
Columbia Care Villa Park — located at 133 Roosevelt Road — would offer a wide range of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, and vaporization cartridges, to name a few.
The company noted it would utilize its 32,000 square feet cultivation and manufacturing facility in Aurora to support the new retail location.
Andrew Bayly, Columbia Care’s Illinois Market Director, said they are “excited to expand our industry-leading services to more customers” in The Prairie State.
Meantime, Columbia Care recently confirmed the finalization of The Green Solution’s acquisition, which expanded the company’s footprint to 95 facilities, including 73 dispensaries and 22 cultivation and manufacturing locations.
Shortly after, the New York-based company expanded into the California market with a $69 million purchase of Project Cannabis.
The acquisition — scheduled to close in the fourth quarter — includes the Los Angeles-based 32,000 square feet cultivation facility and four adult-use dispensaries in North Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, Studio City, and San Francisco.
