Central European Distribution Corporation CEDC today announced that all 13 licenses for all of its Russian facilities for production, storage and wholesale of spirits that had been up for renewal in 2011 have been successfully renewed and extended for five years.
William Carey, President and CEO stated, "Even though the wholesale channel still continues to work through this process, which we expect to be near completion early in the 3rd quarter of 2011, we are pleased that the licensing process went as well for us as it did and that our cooperation with the Russian authorities for the regulation of alcohol has resulted in the timely acquisition of all of our licenses."
CEDC is one of the largest producers of vodka in the world and Central and Eastern Europe's largest integrated spirit beverage business. CEDC produces the Green Mark, Absolwent, Zubrowka, Bols, Parliament, Zhuravli, Royal and Soplica brands, among others. CEDC currently exports its products to many markets around the world, including the United States, England, France and Japan.
