Telecom Corporation of New Zealand (NZT) is the largest telecom operator in New Zealand with a near-monopoly on fixed line communications and a roughly 45% share of the wireless business.

In late May, the New Zealand government granted NZT the majority of the ultra-fast broadband initiative.
