Walmart Inc WMT unveiled its plans for the holiday shopping season that will include three days of sales.
What Happened: Dubbed "Black Friday Deals for Days," Walmart is reinventing the Black Friday experience across three days in November, the company said in a press release. Each event will start online at Walmart.com and continue in stores and will include sales on "the most sought-after items on 2020 holiday wish lists."
The three-day event is designed to "meet the evolving needs" of its customers to provide a safe shopping experience. At the same time, the core Black Friday message of incredible prices will stay the same.

Why It's Important: To better manage potential surges in foot traffic, the company will employ "Health Ambassadors" at entrances, along with other safety measures.
"By spreading deals out across multiple days and making our hottest deals available online, we expect the Black Friday experience in our stores will be safer and more manageable for both our customers and our associates," Scott McCall, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S., said in the press release.
What's Next:
Event 1 will start online on Nov. 4 and in stores on Nov. 7. Sales will focus on toys, electronics and home products.
Event 2 will start online on Nov. 11 and in stores on Nov. 14. Sales will focus on making techies happy with other deals across apparel, hardlines, music, and more.
Event 3 will take place online on Nov. 25 and in stores on Nov. 27. Sales will expand to include even more electronics, toys, and gifts.
