Wunderlich Provides Color on Tax Rates

Wunderlich Securities provided color on possible changes to the U.S. corporate tax rates. In a research report published today, Wunderlich states, “Some of the many proposals include the potential impact to lower the U.S corporate tax rate and/or the potential to repeal the alternative minimum tax (AMT)… From an accounting perspective, if Congress legislatively lowers the U.S corporate rate (say from 35% to 29%), current and deferred income tax accounting for financial reporting purposes would be impacted.”
