Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc KLIC posted upbeat third quarter results, but issued downbeat fourth-quarter revenue projections.
Kulicke and Soffa reported its quarterly earnings at $70.7 million, or $0.95 per share, up from $49.1 million, or $0.65 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed to $294.4 million from $221.3 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.83 per share on revenue of $263.4 million.
The company projects Q4 revenue of $155 to 175 million, versus analysts' estimates of $211.2 million.
KLIC shares dropped 2.91% to $9.00 in pre-market trading.
