AutoNation July Retail New Vehicle Unit Sales Down 4% YoY

AutoNation, Inc. AN today announced that its retail new vehicle unit sales in July 2011, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, totaled 18,949, a decrease of 4% as compared to July 2010. Retail new vehicle unit sales in July 2011 for AutoNation's operating segments were as follows: 6,142 for Domestic, up 3% versus July 2010, 9,323 for Import, down 12% versus July 2010, and 3,484 for Premium Luxury, up 11% versus July 2010.
