Beacon Roofing Supply reported its quarterly net income at $24.1 million, or $0.51 per share, up from $16.3 million, or $0.35 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed 14% to $541 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.46 per share on revenue of $497 million. Beacon Roofing Supply shares closed at $17.93 on Friday.
