UPDATE: Elizabeth Arden Reports Surge In FQ4 Earnings; Shares Up In Pre-Market

Elizabeth Arden Inc RDEN reported a strong rise in its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings. Elizabeth Arden reported its quarterly profit at $5.4 million, or $0.18 per share, up from $2.3 million, or $0.08 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales surged 11% to $253.8 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.10 per share on sales of $243 million. Elizabeth Arden projects current-quarter earnings of $0.25 to $0.30 per share on sales of $295 million to $305 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.26 per share on sales of $296 million. Elizabeth Arden shares gained 3.23% to $27.50 in pre-market trading.
