SpringBig Buys BudTender, Boosts Clientele To About 2K Retail Partners

Springbig, a provider of CRM software for cannabis dispensaries and brands, has acquired BudTender.

Terms of the deal are undisclosed.
BudTender brings more than 200 clients to Springbig's customer base, boosting its list of retail partners to more than 1,900.

In addition, cannabis retailers and brands will be available to access BudTender's customizable customer surveys and weekly reports, as well as its feedback platform and customer support.

Springbig founder and CEO Jeffrey Harris touted BudTender as "a dominant force in the Canadian canna-tech space," highlighting that its "vision and platform effortlessly complements springbig's ongoing commitment to enhancing the cannabis retail and loyalty experience."

"This acquisition will not only be a boon to cannabis retailers across North America but also enrich millions of consumer experiences," BudTender CEO Jake Crow noted Tuesday. "This will undoubtedly create a more modern cannabis industry, and we are thrilled to officially join forces with springbig."

Now that online ordering and shopping are becoming more ubiquitous when it comes to purchasing and selling cannabis products, Springbig has firmly established itself within the industry.

In May, amid the coronavirus outbreak, the company announced a collaboration with San Francisco-based delivery service Onfleet.

In June, Dutchie, and springbig made official their technology partnership, allowing stores to reproduce their in-store customer loyalty experience online.

Shortly after, Boca Raton, Florida-based Springbig teamed up with GrowFlow to support cannabis businesses in streamlining operations and staying compliant with the industry's laws and regulations.
