Metals Lower, Copper Down Sharply

The metals market is much lower today, with the notable exception of copper, which is trying to come back into positive territory. Equities are lower, with all three indexes down over 1%. Copper is down 2.55 cents to trade at $3.563, a loss of 0.7%, the best among the complex. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 49 cents to $46.09, a loss of 1.06%. Silver is down 51 cents to $33.99, as it looks like $35 is the next mark for the precious metal. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 50 cents this morning, to trade at $33.12, a loss of 1.5%. Gold is down $12.50 an ounce to $1,752.60, a loss of 0.71%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $1.28 to $170.44. Platinum is down $18.50 an ounce, trading at $1,628.50, a loss of nearly 1.12%. The platinum ETF ETFS Physical Platinum Shares PPLT is down $1.49 this morning to trade at $160.72, a loss of 0.92%. Palladium is down $6.15 an ounce today, trading at $655.95, as it looks like it will break $700 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are up 20 cents to $65.01.
