There was no news released by the company Tuesday and a spokesperson was not available for comment. SmartHeat was the subject of extensive discussion on Twitter and in chat, which gave momentum to shares.
SmartHeat traded Tuesday in a range of $0.32 to $0.42 and closed at $0.39.
Vermillion
Shares of Vermillion VRML, the Austin, TX developer of diagnostic tests, rose 24% Tuesday on almost twice the average daily volume.
A spokesperson for Vermillion told Benzinga there was no news on Tuesday, but attributed the move to a Seeking Alpha blog post by a shareholder.
Vermillion shares traded Tuesday in a range of $1.19 to $1.47, closing at $1.45.
