What Happened: A Form 4 filing from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission states that Carol D Karp exercised options to purchase 10,000 Prothena Corp shares at a price of $15.04 per share for a total of $150,400 on October 1. They then sold their shares on the same day in the open market. They sold at prices ranging from $66.60 to $70.44 to raise a total of $682,336 from the stock sale.

Karp still owns a total of 130,000 shares of Prothena Corp in the form of derivative securities.

The Importance of Insider Transactions
