Wilder World Takes the Auto-World into a New Dimension of Reality

NFTs have experienced an incredibly successful year that may have been single-handedly kicked off by the $69 million Christie’s auction of a work of NFT art. Since then, the NFT market has surged into a $10 billion sector of the crypto industry. 

The technology behind NFTs makes it possible for users to buy one-of-a-kind pieces of art and digital collectibles, and this has opened the door to worlds where people can buy unique cyberspace properties akin to those in meatspace. The growth of a Matrix-like alternative reality set in the digital space has been named the metaverse, and recently Facebook announced its own foray into developing a metaverse of its own.      

Now, the metaverse is about to get a lot Wilder. By creating an immersive 5D experience, Wilder World, whose development has been led by the renowned 5D artist Frank Wilder and architect n3o, is shaping up to be one of the major players in Web3 and NFT metaverse experiences.  

Enter the Metaverse: Miami Transcends Into Wiami 

The Wilder vision aspires to create a fully decentralized and community-owned virtual nation that can be experienced in their immersive photorealistic metaverse. As part of making this vision a reality, Wiami is the first city the team has built inside of Wilder World for its users, known as Wilders, to explore. 

Using LiDAR data, Wilder World has created a 1-to-1 geographical replica of Miami, which is set in a nearby alternative dimension built on Ethereum, Unreal Engine 5, and ZERO. Wiami has been developed with futuristic vibes, reminiscent of 80s Miami, with a CyberPunk flair and a touch of fantasy.

Wilder World isn’t the first project to attempt to recreate Miami on a digital scale, as the Grand Theft Auto franchise took its turn years before with the blockbuster release of GTA: Vice City. However, this time round a virtual rendition of Miami, Wiami, will be a very different affair without the violence but with real stakes on the line.   

Player vs Player (PvP) and Play to Earn (P2E) gaming is a key aspect of the Wilder World metaverse. One of the first micro-games available in Wiami lets users put their skills to the test and street race Wilder Wheels vehicles around the city for NFT gains.

Wilder Wheels set for Wiami Streets NFT Racing for Pink Slips

Wilder Wheels offers fully drivable NFT vehicles that users can race, rent out, and flex inside Wiami. Wilder Wheels Genesis, the first collection of Wilder Wheels NFTs, launched on October 28th. 

Wilder Wheels NFT vehicles are art cars that have been meticulously programmed and curated to resemble some of the world’s most recognizable designs. Users can expect to find a wide array of vehicles from multiple decades of innovations and design. In addition, each vehicle has dynamic gameplay attributes that vary in handling, speed, and acceleration. 

Just like the mod scene in meatspace, Wilder World’s metaverse vehicles can be modded out to stand out with realistic attributes only available for certain vehicles. Similar to Axie Infinity, Wilder World has introduced inflationary and deflationary mechanics in the NFT economy that enable users to modify and evolve their vehicles and gameplay.
