Specialty retailer PetSmart (
PETM) recently tossed shareholders a treat to chew on: another year of healthy growth. In late February, the pet supplies giant said earnings for its fiscal 2011, ended in January, jumped 27% to $2.55 a share. That was up from growth of 5% and 26% in the prior two years and was its biggest gain since 2003. PetSmart's EPS has nearly doubled in the past five years. The chain's sales grew 7% for the second straight year.
