Discovery Channel's "CASH CAB" Gets a Little More Mobile

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - August 13, 2009) - Discovery Communications has entered in to a licensing agreement with Capcom® Mobile, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games to launch a Discovery Channel branded mobile game based on the cult hit show "CASH CAB." "CASH CAB" the mobile game is available on most North American wireless carriers and is available today for download.

In the game, players ride in the back seat of a New York City taxi cab and are quizzed on general knowledge questions all the way to their destination. As the meter ticks, the questions get harder and the stakes get higher. Miss three questions, and the "CASH CAB" pulls over and ejects the contestants onto the sidewalk, no matter where they are in the city.

"CASH CAB" for mobile uses the Emmy Award-winning show's signature concept and challenges players to answer a series of progressively difficult questions before they get to their destination. Extending the TV show experience, gamers can keep coming back for more as "CASH CAB" mobile features nearly 1,000 questions pulled from subjects as diverse as History, Pop Culture, Language and Science. New to the mobile game is a "Ride with a Friend" feature which replaces "Shout out" on the show. Twenty one different destinations keep this thrill ride rolling and offer a new experience with each game.

"CASH CAB" the mobile game is currently available for download on most North American carriers. Please visit www.capcommobile.com or dsc.discovery.com/fansites/cashcab/cashcab.html for additional details.

"CASH CAB," hosted by comic turned cabbie Ben Bailey first premiered in December of 2005, and airs weekdays on the Discovery Channel. The Emmy Award-winning original series returned for a fourth season on April 20th.
