The movement in the name came on the heels of a better than expected quarterly earnings report. Metabolix MBLX - Shares soared more than 31% to $2.57 on Tuesday. The move in the stock is likely related to a press release announcing that the company will be presenting at the 10th Annual Ardour Capital Energy Technology Conference on Thursday, June 7, 2012 in New York City. Shore Bancshares SHBI - This is another extremely thinly traded stock, and little can be gleaned from today's 17.33% surge. The stock closed at $6.47. Tix Corp. TIXC - This stock climbed 17.65% to $2.00 after the company's CEO offered to buy all outstanding shares for $2.25. The company closed the day with a market-cap of $47.34 million.
