Ford China Sales Up 8% In May

Ford Motor Co

reported an 8% rise in its sales in China. Ford's China sales rose to 48,608 vehicles in May. Ford sold 34,552 Ford-branded vehicles in China in May. Sales at Ford's Jiangling Motors Corp. commercial-vehicle joint venture declined 16% to 14,056 vehicles. In the first five months of the year, Ford and its joint ventures sold 224,882 vehicles in China. Ford shares closed at $10.57 yesterday.
