The Dow Jones Gets Slaughtered

The Dow Jones is down over 400 points today as investors dumped stocks amidst fears of problems in Europe. The Dow is down over 4% and is negative for the third straight day. The Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 have all had their biggest decline of the year. The Dow was down over 600 points before recouping some of its earlier losses. Shares of Caterpillar (CAT) were hit especially hard dropping over $7 per share. Bank of America (BAC) is down almost 10% on the day as the financial giant's shares crashed below $16. General Electric (GE) lost nearly $3 a share hitting the mid $15's. Hewlett Packard (HPQ) dropped over $10 per share before rebounding to $44 per share.
