Shares of BlackRock BLK gained about 2.3% after the company agreed to buy Swiss Re Private Equity Partners AG. The transaction is likely to complete by the end of the third quarter of 2012. However, terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Shares of Microsoft MSFT gained about 0.1% after the company announced a $6.2 billion charge for the fourth quarter related to the company's acquisition of aQuantive in 2007. Deutsche Bank AG DB lowered its 2012 gold outlook. The bank now projects gold to average $1,726/oz in 2012, versus its earlier outlook of $1,800/oz. It now expects gold to average $2,050/oz in 2013 and $1,800/oz in 2014. Shares of LCA-Vision LCAV fell about 2.2% after the company reported a 2% y/y increase in its second-quarter procedures. LCA-Vision reported that 14,415 procedures were performed during the quarter, up from 14,081 procedures performed in the year-ago period. Shares of Lender Processing Services LPS gained about 2.8% after the company announced its acquisition of LendingSpace. The deal is expected to close later this month.
